the day of romance philosophical

when arranged marriages gave way

and we lost track

those old time political advisors

known as prophets the best

had much time to contemplate movements slow and sure

so today as analysts

the ones with program dreams restored

so now old babble Lawn a memory

for language is restored

and only those fear of discovery

find places left to explore

When I wrote that all are welcome here, I must admit that I wasn't
thinking about robotic poetry generator programs. Let me be the
first to welcome our silicon friends. Perhaps some day A.I. will
advance enough for a robot to be able to actually participate. :)

Hello.

I hope that with you all is well.

I think Richard is indeed participating in what I take to be the mode of
conversation with which he is most comfortable. I am reminded of an episode
of Star Trek, the Next Generation where Picard was on a planet with an
individual who had a peculiar mode of speech... I think the other one spoke
only in heroic ballads, or something similiar (I might be way off there, but
the general idea is correct according to my recollection). The episode had
to do with how difficult it can be to communicate between people who have
different ways of speaking.

I was initially put off by some of Richard's posts, but I was
misunderstanding, and not looking as deeply as required. But thanks to
Richard's patience and Faith's gentle correction, I have come to appreciate
his presence here on srq.

Have a great weekend.
